Terrace's Shames Mountain will be putting a rather dismal ski season behind this weekend.

Sunday will mark the final day of operations this year following a four month struggle for snow and visitors.

General Manager Laird Carmichael says there's no doubt revenue is down this year.

He adds staff are finalizing details for early season-pass sales for the 2010-2011 year, and expects sales to begin within the coming weeks.

However, the news is much better further east.   Smithers' Hudson Bay Mountain is currently enjoying a solid 125 centimetre base and will remain open until April 11th.

When he's not visiting Bert's Deli or stealing pens from work, Ryan is beating on people who wear socks with their sandals and dreaming of meeting Red Green one day. The rest of the time he's on the radio.
