About the show
Ryan Seacrest of American Idol counts down the 40 biggest songs every Saturday, from 8-12 on The MIX!This guy knows his stuff! At his relatively young age, Ryan already has his own “star” on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and is a fixture in the most popular fan magazines. “People Magazine” has chosen him as one of their “most beautiful people” and also as one of the world’s most eligible bachelors.
In radio, among other things Ryan took over for Casey Kasem as host of American Top 40 that’s heard every week on the Mix, and other top stations across the continent. In TV, he’s a fixture on American Idol of course, and for several years now he’s also been the executive producer and co-host of “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve,” live from Times Square in New York on ABC Television. Eventually Ryan will take over as sole host of that annual special when Clark decides to step down.
There’s even more! With Ryan Seacrest Productions (RSP) becoming a known entity producing and hosting multiple television and radio specials, his many restaurant investments, as well as the launch of the R Line, Seacrest is redefining what it means to be an entrepreneur and a quadruple threat in Hollywood.
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Ryan's professional career in broadcasting began there when he was only 16. He now resides in Los Angeles.
